Adding a North Arrow to a Multi-plot

Note: The file linked in this example (North1.terx) is one of three available in the samples folder created at install time; you should find them on your hard drive here:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Softree\samplesV10\Library

It is possible to add a different north arrow to Multi-plot. The Terrain Module is shipped with several standard north arrows you can also create your own custom one.

To add a custom north arrow:

1. With the Multi-Plot window activated, click on the Capture_a.JPG button on Insert section of the Multiplot ribbon.

2. Download and save the above Terrain file.

3. Browse and and find the recently saved Terrain file North1.terx. This will allow you to position a North Arrow on your Multi-plot sheet. Make sure that the chapter is selected when you insert the new Terrain sub-view, so it appears on all pages.

4. Start with the Scale/Rotation set to extract scale from the TERX and rotation from the Plan sub-view.
