What is the difference between Active Node and Offline Node?

  • Active = currently in use, connected to network. Will be automatically returned, when program is exited.
  • Offline node = checked out by user. Will be returned at end of time period defined in the license manager or when the user actively presses return.
  • Available node = Total license minus active and offline… These are the licenses remaining that are not in use, not checked out.

Can you configure how long a license can be checked out for?

Yes, you can. This is managed within the Softree License manager.

To modify:

  • Click on the Settings tab
  • Adjust the check out length slider (0-30 days)
  • Press Save
