Software Updates

Updated April 16, 2020

This article applies to:
  • Terrain 3D
  • Terrain Forestry
  • RoadEng Civil
  • RoadEng Forestry
  • Softree Optimal

Softree uploads “micro updates” of the software periodically. RoadEng, Softree Optimal and Terrain Tools have an automatic update version checker that accesses the web to look for updates.

The default is set for weekly. When a new update is available you will receive a Softree Product Update message (similar to the image below):

If you are not receiving Softree Product Update prompts, your Check for Updates may be disabled (see Changing the Default below).

To manually check for updates:

  • Open any module.
  • Select Setup tab|Check for Updates button (as shown below)

Running an older version of the software?

If you are running an older version (Version 7 and higher) periodic updates are still available for major bug fixes. Please note, improvements to your overall functionality will not change unless you upgrade to the current version.

You can also upgrade your software. Please contact our sales team to discuss upgrade options.
